Barefoot and Dreaming Productions, LLC creates thought provoking and refreshing entertainment. Whether it is shedding light on a familiar subject or giving voice to a new idea, the style transcends the bounds of a specific media and reveals itself through video, sound pieces, literature, visual and performing art forms. By engaging the audience's imagination, Bf & D allows people to lighten up and laugh, then gets them to say, "oh, damn . . . I didn't think about it like that."

Jason Tomalia received his B.A. in Theater from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. After college, he studied improv at The Brave New Workshop Theater--founded by Dudley Riggs in 1958. He began working front of house staff with the theater and was also cast as a performer/writer for the company. Jason has been involved with many film/video projects, stage productions, sketch comedy performances, and improv sets since getting formally involved with the performing arts. Prior to attending college, Jason was a principle character in a feature film shot in Detroit, Michigan entitled, "Happy Hour: 4-6pm," which he has never seen, and almost no one has ever heard of (no, it wasn't porn). Jason is also a published poet, and recently released his first book, Something Relevant: Let the Revolution Begin. He plans to write many more, although they may not all be poetry. Oh yeah, there's also music in the works. Peace!

Tori Tomalia began dancing at the age of three and has been studying movement and art ever since. As an undergraduate, Tori majored in Theater and Secondary Education at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. She then headed out to Boston University where she completed a Masters Degree in Arts Administration and lived the life of an independent artist: performing with the educational theater company Deana’s Fund, teaching drama in the Boston Public Schools through Arts in Progress, and writing/performing/producing with Rough & Tumble Theatre. In a desire to further hone her craft, Tori ventured west to the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre in beautiful northern California. Minnesota then called her back, where she began exploring the scientific side of movement and the human body while working at the Mayo Clinic Autonomic Neurology Lab. She has presented her research internationally and has been published in Muscle & Nerve. During this time she fulfilled her artistic side working as a Movement Specialist, Teacher and Director at the Masque Youth Theatre & School.
